Step1. 量測

Measuring

＿

將圈圈量尺通過指節，套入指間。

可多試幾個圈圈，直到找到您最合手舒適的圈圈指圍。

Place the ring sizer over the knuckle and slide it onto the finger.

You may try several sizes until you find the one that fits your finger most comfortably.

Step2. 質感敲花

Impact Texturing

使用已退火銀材，方可敲花作業。

銀材經敲花，因金屬分子結構恢復緊密，此時將變硬無法再塑型。

可再次退火，以利後續加工。

To emboss, the silver material must first be annealed.

After embossing, the metal's molecular structure becomes compact, rendering it hardened and unable to reshape.

Subsequent annealing can facilitate further processing.

Step3. 鋼印敲字

Stamping

＿

挑選喜歡的鋼印，以鐵鉆與鐵鎚敲花至銀材上。

力道與字距，需練習試敲方能熟練。

Select your preferred steel stamp and emboss it onto the silver material using an iron punch and hammer.

Skill and practice are required to master the appropriate force and spacing of the characters.

Step4. 退火

Annealing

＿

退火時將銀材放置在耐火磚上，以火槍內焰藍色尖端前1cm處，來回在銀材上慢慢移動，燒至銀材呈現白色泛淺紅色停止，關閉火槍，淬水後擦乾備用。

During annealing, the silver material is placed on a firebrick, and a propane torch flame is slowly moved back and forth over the silver material until it reaches a light white or pale red color.

The flame should be positioned approximately 1 cm from the tip of the blue inner flame. Once this color is achieved, the torch is turned off, and the silver is quenched in water before drying for further use.

Step5. 成型

Bending

＿

使用橡皮槍等輔助工具，將銀條穩穩彎折成初步圓形。

並將圓形雙向套入戒指棒，並敲擊服貼於上。

Utilize auxiliary tools such as a ring mandrel to steadily bend the silver rod into a preliminary circular shape.

Then, insert the circular shape onto the ring mandrel from both ends and hammer it down firmly in place.

Step6. 鋸切

Sawing

＿

將物件穩定放置於銼橋上，和鋸弓成垂直，於鋸絲抹蠟潤滑，

一手穩定物件、一手向下拉動鋸切，

重複上下拉動動作直至斷開，聲音順暢穩定。

Stabilize the object securely on the bench pin, aligning it perpendicular to the saw frame. Apply wax to the saw blade for lubrication. With one hand stabilizing the object and the other hand pulling the saw downward, repeat the up-and-down motion until the cut is complete, ensuring a smooth and steady sound.

Step7. 焊接

Soldering

於密合焊道，塗適量助焊劑，幫助銀焊藥流動。

將高溫銀焊藥放置於焊道，加熱到達銀焊藥熔點，移開火源使其固化接合。

焊接後以明礬酸洗，以利去除氧化物。

In the seam for soldering, apply a sufficient amount of flux to aid in the flow of silver solder.

Place the high-temperature silver solder on the seam, heat it until it reaches its melting point, then remove the heat source to allow it to solidify and bond. After soldering, clean with alum solution to facilitate the removal of oxides.
